The 27th Mustelid Colloquium will take place in the historic city of Lisbon, capital of Portugal. It was founded in Pre-Roman times, has been invaded throughout history by several peoples. Weather
The weather in Lisbon is, in general, warmer all year than in the rest of the Europe (like other cities of South Europe) however the cold season starts in November, which is also a rainy month. The temperatures usually go at 1ºC (min.) until 15ºC (max.) in winter.

Airport
Lisbon International Airport is located 7km from the city centre. It has daily flights from the major cities of the world (http://www.worldairportguide.com/airport/353/airport_guide/Europe/Lisbon-Portela-Airport.html).
You can get to the city centre by:

Bus: The CARRIS AeroBus 91 (€3) runs to the city centre (journey time - 20 minutes) and to the Cais do Sodré railway station. Taxi: Metered taxis are available 24 hours a day; the taxi rank is situated outside the Arrivals and Departures areas. To the city centre €10/25-45 mins, Saldanha ~€5/15 mins, Avenida de Liberdade ~€8. Extra for bags. At night prices are 20% higher. Standard rates for urban journeys are €0.40 per km by day and €0.48 at night. Pre-paid taxis are available from the Tourist desk in arrivals. Note: To avoid being overcharged by taxi drivers, locals recommend the following: Avoid the taxis at Arrivals. Walk to the departures area and take a taxi there. All taxi meters should display €2.50 on departure.
