Dear Colleagues

On behalf of the Organising Committee we are pleased to invite you to the next Mustelid Colloquium to be held in Lisbon, Portugal on November 18-20, 2009.

The Colloquium is hosted by the Centre for Environmental Biology (CBA), of the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon University (FCUL). Colleagues from all parts of the globe are expected to join us, so submit an abstract and be part of the scientific program! The main theme concerns all Mustelid species, their biology, management and conservation, but studies on interactions with other carnivore species, in a community context (e.g. habitat and prey requirements) are also welcome. We are keen to include both original contributions and comprehensive reviews.

Abstracts should be sent by e-mail to mustelid2009@fc.ul.pt before September 30 2009 and abstracts will be selected for either oral or poster presentation. For more information please see the Call for Abstracts section. Papers referring to accepted abstracts may be submitted for publication and awards for the best posters will be given.
Attending this meeting should serve as an occasion to deepen friendships and further international understanding on Mustelid issues. The social events and congress tour will provide your opportunity to network with colleagues from around the world in a pleasant environment. We also hope you will enjoy the many sights in and around Lisbon.

We encourage our colleagues from all countries to join us for a successful meeting. Please feel welcome to be involved whether you work in Mustelid research and management or with other species that do interact with them. Your colleagues look forward to seeing you there!
